Elodie Ontala Babongui is a Patient Advocacy Liaison, to Versiti Inc. in the Continuous Improvement and Multicultural Outreach (CIMO) office. Ms. Ontala focuses on connecting to patients who live with bleeding disorders in communities of color, which are historically underrepresented in healthcare. She works across functions inclusive of the Blood Services, Medical Sciences Institute, Blood Research Institute, and Diagnostic Labs to promote and advocate for those living with sickle cell and other hematologic disorders.
Along with Elodie’s passion for this work, she brings experience in delivering successful programs most recently at Arts @ Large that resulted in the implementation of arts programming in 30+ MPS schools involving over 5,000 students, a virtual summer camp, and partnerships with community organizations across Milwaukee to provide workshops to refugee and immigrant students.
Elodie holds a Masters in Sustainable Peacebuilding and a Bachelor’s in Global Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Ms Ontala speaks 4 languages, and her work has included economic and social development in the United States and abroad.
