Leah (Phifer) Buck is an employee engagement consultant and founder of WhyWork. She spent 15 years working for the federal government in crisis management and human resources before launching her business in late 2021. As a former instructor of Statistical Methodology & Research Design at Augsburg University, Leah uses unique methodologies to coach organizations and individuals on maximizing talent by building purpose-centered cultures.
Leah holds a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota and travels the state extensively for workshops, training and speaking events that help people identify what they uniquely need to thrive at work. She’s an experienced grant writer and also serves on the board of WaterLegacy, an award-winning conservation organization focused on preserving Minnesota’s water-quality standards. She resides in Minneapolis with her husband and their dog, where they’re involved in supporting the refugee community through Arrive Ministries.
