Dr. Milpha Blamo is the Vice President of Talent and Culture at the Minneapolis Foundation where she creates and executes strategies for talent management, learning and development, and HR systems with the goal of fully engaging the Foundation’s diverse workforce and enhancing its organizational culture. She has more than a decade of field and academic experience in non-profit management and leadership. Dr. Blamo is a member of Forbes Human Resource Council, Normandale Community College’s Business Advisory Committee, KIPP School Board, and was a participant in the Women of Color in Leadership Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
She has a BA in Economics from the University of Minnesota, Master of Nonprofit Management from Hamline University and Doctorate in Education, Leadership from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Dr. Blamo teaches in the Leadership Minor at the University of Minnesota and co-designed and teaches Organizational Strategies(ORLD 6502): People and Culture course in the Master of Organizational Leadership program (MAOL) at St. Catherine’s University. As an educator, she is passionate about bringing research, industry expertise and thought leadership to the classroom building the capacity of current and aspiring leaders.
